Default Advice on Used S5

So.... ready to purchase a used S5 in December... looking at 2008-2010 models for a couple of reasons:

1) price
2) I want a V8....

Almost all of the S5's in my range have anywhere from 65k to 100k on the clock. Anything I should specifically check on?

None available in my area right now, and since I'm willing to get one almost anywhere in the US, I'll most likely be flying to pick one up and probably just have fun driving it home.

Love the forum and thanks in advance for the help!

Well...despite my desire to go with a stick, my daily commute, my wife...and the fact that the perfect car in the color I wanted was auto, that's what I'm getting.

At the end of the day, I feel that the auto in sport mode is fine for hitting the shift patterns I want around town and I can always switch to paddle mode if I want a little more control.

Can't wait to drive it home next weekend...nothing like a nice 700 mile drive to get used to a new vehicle.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering an S5 as well. I'd be looking at cars with around 50k on them. Any weak points that we should know about?

I'll be looking for a manual. Helps keep my wife out of the drivers seat.

Hah...im not sure of any weak points. Couldn't find anything online. As long as it has been maintained....my car's history showed all of the regular service intervals at an Audi dealer.

Two more days and I pick it up!

It's awesome!

I've already starting modding. Some basic stuff I've done so far.

18" black winter wheels and Blizzaks since this is a commuter vehicle in MI.

Matte black RS 5 grill from ECS Tuning with Euro plate front

Black fog light surrounds

Painting other "grey" trim black as soon as it warms up enough...or may just remove this weekend and paint inside.

20" Avant Garde M590 wheels in custom brushed matte stainless with Hankooks for the summer

H&R Street coil overs...whoa...lowered it about an inch as far as I can tell. Looks and rides awesome.

Best mod so far...AWE Tuning track exhaust with stock down pipes.

Ton of other minor updates like red ring start/stop button, grocery bag hooks for trunk, rubber S5 floor mats, trunk net, led interior lights, led license plate light, ....ecode front lights and led facelift rear lights shipping this week.

I shot a few GoPro videos, but remember, it was my first time playing with the camera. You can hear the exhaust on my latest video. YouTube name is the same...mozman68
