Default 2017 Audi S8 unusual oil consumption

Good afternoon everyone. I have a 2017 Audi S8 which I purchased in May. I made the purchase in Columbus Ohio and drove it back to San Diego. Upon getting to San Diego the service advisory came on stating I needed to change the oil. I thought that was strange considering the vehicle was certified. Long story short I changed the oil with 23500 on the vehicle. I checked the oil with just shy of 27000 miles in January. The oil gauge showed that the vehicle had used about a third of the oil. That was strange because the vehicle isn’t leaking oil, and is definitely not burning oil. At least not that I can see. With that amount of oil loss I would expect the exhaust to show signs of oil at the tail pipe. Dry as a bone and no smoke! So where did all this oil go? Taking it to the shop to have it Thoroughly checked. Has anyone had a similar issue?
