There's an awesome article in there about a guy from the states who bought a S4, then went to Europe, bought an RS4...these are B5's, and didn't want to go through the hastle of importing a whole vehicle, so he dismantled, and brought it all back in peices, installed everything onto his S4, had the RS4 motor built slightly. IT"S SICK! He runs 11's with full interior and audio. Check it out if you see it on the magazine rack

 

how come he didnt buy just the motor here?

 

well he did more thatn just the engine, hes got the front and rear bumpers(the rear is actually a euro s4 bumper0 the 4 quater panels, steering wheel, and basically anything else he could interchange.

He didn't just get the motor because he moved to Europe for a few years. So he bought the car for over there. But then since he bought it, he wanted to bring it back with him, I guess pieces was better than the hastle of customs and such. A sedan is much nicer looking than a wagon too

 

id have just taken the car here. its like 1500-200 to get it on a ship in a container and get it over here

 

yes but if you ship it as "parts" you don't have to pay duty/taxes on it.

 

And you get the option to have as close to a "true" B5 RS4 sedan as you can get. Damn...I wish I could run an 11 sec 1/4. Not only that, but this car is a 200mph car too. Damn sexy...damn sexy indeed. Just imagine if he would have gone with GT28's or GT30's or some turbo like that.
