Ok so a 2.8. Doubt you'll get "that sound". Most people get "that sound" out of the 4.2

 

I have a 12v 2.8 A4 but I don't have any brand name exhaust system on it...its has a custom 63mm freeflow exhaust not sure on any specs but it sounds amazing!!

My 4.2 has a borla exhaust.. And it sounds meeaaann. Honestly, best sounding car I have heard. And I have been around quite a few cars.
