I hate those, id rather get a flat and have some 17's than those

 

Those are bizarre! Am I in the twilight zone?

 

I remember reading about these earlier this year. In tests they found that they can perform better then conventional tires. I believe they were able to use multiple compounds in the 'fins' to achieve things like great cornering stability and whatnot along with gentle ride.

 

i would buy them so if i run from the cops and they put out road spikes i can hit them and not get a flat and keep going

 

They are tires not wheels... and as for the open sidewall they only left it open for the pictures and to show it off they claim if it does go into production then they will close the sidewalls or actually add sidewalls......
