Hey I just bought a 2002 225 coupe with 33k on it. I'm loving the car and everything about it except yesterday this wierd noise started happening. It sounds like a hissing kind of like when u spin tires, and i feel like its happening in the left rear of the car. It happens at random times, but always happens when i let go of the clutch in first and then sometimes in 2nd and sometimes when i stop. Its bothering me and I cant think of what it can be.

LOL... but I don't think that is going to help much more than what he already said.

 

Kinda like a hollow grinding? Like breaking a tire loose on gravel or sand?

Wheel bearing, maybe. At least a good cheap place to start. Could be a worn bushing or something in the rear suspension as well.
