Default Wierd Noise

Alright guys I have a 99' A4 1.8TQ and I have recently gotten a GIAC chip installed and the car has been acting funny, its been 3 weeks since being chipped. When I go WOT I hear a loud sucking/air noise coming from the car. Now when Im WOT im boosting about 12psi which and the car barely acelrates and gets all jerky which doesnt seem right. I hear people with GIAC spike from 18-20 and hold around 15. I dont know what it could be, boost gauge reads normal at idle at 20Hg so I know there is no vaccume leak and I looked for boost leaks and found none. Thought it might be the DV but i swapped the stock in and I still hear the same noise and have the same symptoms. If I go half throttle the car picks up fine and runs normal at about 4-6psi. While at waterfest I picked up the Samco turbo inlet and throttle body hose and it somewhat inproved the car while in WOT. Im thinking about bringing it to my friends machanic but I dont know what to tell him to look or check for.

Another thing I should note is the cat, there is a wierd clicking noise coming from it and I think its on its way out. I have heard people say that is the cat is shot is screws up acceleration. If the cat is shot and all clogged up would this affect the turbo being able to boost and hold steady. I plan on ordering a testpipe from renn-art.com this week. The testpipe is a simple bolton right, it doesnt require an aftermarket exhaust does it? Also is there anymore places I can get a testpipe from. The one from renn-art is an ATP 3" Testpipe for $157, any other places with testpipes for under $300?

Make sure you are using premium gas and it normaly takes a few weeks for the ecu to fully adapt to the new software. Never use the stock DV with a chip! Might be going into limp mode. Give it some more time and see what happens. Stay away from WOT while the ecu is adapting or youll go into limp mode for sure which =10-12 psi with a chip.

Could be. Get your car scanned with a VAG-COM and post any codes here.
