Default Sorry to ask in here.. But a Bose question or two.

No luck searching, but does my 00 coupe have a subwoofer anywhere? Is there a low (line) level signal near it or a rear amp? It is the Bose and I was thinking of trying to get more boom, I can stand the midrange for now, but I need more low end and I have a pile of old audio gear in the basement that may work..

The audio section was all A4 chat, no luck there. Sorry for the silly question.

I did se the "DIY" about the amp/sub, but I do not want to string wire from the front if I have a sub out back that can be swaped out etc...

the convertables came with a sub because of the lack of speakers. If you really need more bass youll have to install a sub yourself.

Something like this...

I found it easier to just get rid of the bose stuff almost altogether (kept front speakers and tweeters, but rewired)

The option that I'am strogly leaning toward is getting an Infinity basslink powered sub. They don't take up much room. Adding 200 RMS Watts of power off of a 10 inch sub, could be plenty sufficient for your tastes, however it's your call. I have 2 10" Polk Momo's in a large box that will fit in the hatch.. barely. I would like my trunk space however. I also want a clean, low profile install.

What I was thinking.. I would remove my back seats, since I couldn't even fit a midget back there. That way I could put the box in there, and still have trunk space. However, I decided that I don't really need that much bass (not 16 anymore) and I'd prefer quality bass over huge amounts of bass.. It's still tempting to put those 10's in here though.

All in all.. I've read a lot of great things about the Basslink (The original model.) It should sound awesome in such a small car. Look into a Basslink II, that has a 250w RMS built in amp... and it has an option for an additional amp to power speakers (50W RMS, 75w peak I believe.) Ebay has great deals! Hope this is of any help to you.

One of the guys on AW had his rear seat bottom modified to be a single seat and then put the sub in the place of the rear left seat.

I'm liking that arm rest!

I helped a buddy of mine recable his TT for Rockford speakers and it was super easy! Just too a little while because of having to pull the whole insides apart including front & back seats and pannels. It was deffinantly worth it. If anyone needs a stock amp or 6 disc let me know because I think he still has it.
