Im new here so i'm not sure if this is an old topic. I've been seeing alot of Porsche 6pot brakes on Audi's and VW's. To they bolt right up to TT's or is there fab work thats needed. This for an 02' 225 Coupe

they are pricey and a little more than what is need for the street. Four pots (piston) would be a much better alternative.

 

Oh ok so all i would need to do is find some Boxter 4 pot calipers (ebay it) and buy the rotors, brake lines and the brackets from them. Do they sell the brackets seperatley because i didn't see them, or do u even need them with the boxter calipers? This seems like a cool upgrade.

 

ecstuning has everything you need, plus they are just brembos with porsche written on them instead.

 

For daily driven cars, with occasional track use, do you really need 4 piston calipers? Or would good rotors and pads be in better order?

 

pads play the most impoertant role. You need pads that can take the heat if you race them and durability and quite for street. Good rotors help themselves cool (drilled and two peice) and clean the pads (slotted). The calipers with more pots help distribute pressure on the pads for even clamping force. We already have larger brakes so a good rotor and pad combo would be good, if you go this route i would go with ecstuning for there 2 peice rotors. But once you start there you might as well just get a 4 pot kit.

 

Its something with me where i always like to overkill the brakes on my cars, u never cant have too much. plus they look crazy. And i was wondering what wheel to use. I originally wanted to go with a 18" RS6 replica, but i kinda like the new RS4 (B7) wheel. But all the sites don't say anything about them fitting a TT. Will they fit with the stock or bigger brakes, or will they poke out of the wheel wells?

 

a4/passats have 5x112 and tt/gti/jetta have 5x100. For real ones you will need adapters and you can get replicas in the 5x100 bolt pattern. There are some good compainies and bad ones so beware. Hartmann seems to have good replica wheels.
