Default Georgia--2002 Audi 3.0 For Sale

Hey guys...after extensive troubles with the Audi dealership in Atlanta, I wanted to put it out there that I am selling my 2002 Audi A4 3.0 Certified Used car. I can't keep driving back and forth to Atlanta to get the car serviced (routine service that is). It is Crystal Blue Metallic and has 57,000 miles on it. I just had the 60,000 mile service done and also put on new front brake pads. I WILL DRIVE ANYWHERE IN GEORGIA TO SELL THIS...I will drive it to your door.

Asking $16,500 (a little less than what I owe)...

Thanks,
John

I am quite confident I know to whom and to what you are referring to. There is one dealer in ATL that is suspected around town for "creating" troubles in a car when in for a routine visit, particularly once out of warranty. Too bad as many of the people there are great but a few shady mechanics and slicko sales guys can ruin a good dealer's reputation.

Absent defiitive facts, such innuendo seems below us. I've actually not heard of such issues, but I live near Augusta, and frequent Atlanta and the Adui dealership close to me (Ellis). While I'm certain many fear accusations of ibel, either we put up, or else.

Point taken but as you read, I stated "suspected", implying that no proof had been offered. Perhaps there is none. Likewise, I did not name the dealer nor would I, as that would indeed be "below us". I was simply offering a sympathetic ear to the post. I admire Johnnybburn for not naming the dealer to which he referred. I think that you would agree that it would be innappropriate. Not sure why your response to him or me took such a defensive tone. No harm no foul, your point is well received. I am sure we can enjoy posting together without issue.

On a better note: How is it looking for the Masters? Do you go? Should be a fantastic season given the waether down there.

Having been webmaster of a site w/ over 20K members, I am sensitive to "devolutions" when we introduce such speculation. If none was intended, mea culpa: no harm, no foul. But I think IF a person has facts, and is willing to step out from behind the KB, then indeed we should all know so as not to repeat their mistakes.

Business are sensitive to web impact, but we have a duty to be honest. Implications of guilt only serve to make us doubt what is in many cases a decent dealer network. We should tell the failing ones that they have failed, and we should tell other potential customers.

So Johnny, what is the problem with your car?

RE: the Masters-

I go when I get tickets, but this year I have a refueling outage at my plant (Vogtle). I work shift as a Shift Manager, so I'm on this time Tuesday through Saturday. Sort of kills the need to find tickets. Weather is hotter than normal IMO, adn the pollen hasn[t been washed down yet. it may be ugly for asthma sufferers and those who have common allergies.

You coming? If so, we'd have to have an informal G2G!

Again, point taken and wise in your forum years you are. Did not mean to imply that I had that direct experience with this dealer but only that there are Audi owners that FEEL that they had, if it is even the same one. Same story everywhere. My firm works directly with one of the big three OEMs and a number of the other manufacturers (including Audi/VW) and their dealership networks. Just as is any business, there are good eggs and bad. They typically show themselves for what they are and are rewarded or punished for it in the long run. While if proven, one should sound the alarm, but that can be a tough one to call so probably best to find another dealer or excellent indy with all the bells and whistles. Now, I will return this post to it's rightful owner and hopefully this guy can sell his car. Too bad as it's typicaly a good one.
As for Masters. Think I'm coming on Friday but have little chance to do much else as I would drive in and out that day. Otherwise, would enjoy meeting you and seeing your ride as both have strong credentials.

If you come this way, drop a line. I'm off Sunday only, but a Friday howdie-do would be cool also.
