I am getting ready to purchase a 2000 S4 (stock) 6-speed and my buddies have the 08 SI, and the 04 BMW 3series...What are my chances of taking one or both of them? The SI is quite quick, and I was just curious to know if I do have any kind of chance of winning aganist eitehr of them.

 

Civic Si's, in my opinion are not that quick at all. Or maybe I owned the one I raced so badly that my opinion is biased

but really, mine is a previous gen s4/s6, with stock turbo and engine with a chip, and from 60-whatever on the freeway I always pulled hard on him and had about 3-4 car lengths by race end. Going from a stoplight ended similarly

in a B5 S4 I would expect the results to be similar

 

Mag times:

2000 s4= 14.1
2006 Civic Si= 14.9
BMW depends on model, 2004 330i= 13.4

 

335i or m3 your getting into the 13's... i think the new m3 may even be a high 12.... gotta giveBMW and theren/a 6cly. mad props thoughfor 12's straight out the factory...[sm=smiley20.gif] ... too bad i still love my audi more..

 

s4 will take both. My stg 2+ s4 walked the hell out of a modded si, and the 325 should be no biggy

 

The new SI's are not as fast as you think. I beat my friend's 07 SI off the launch and on the highway by a few car lengths.

 

a civic is a civic. PERIOD(although built up models can do 9 sec 1/4's).. the beemer will be more "fair". that I6 puts out good numbers though, especially in a straight line

 

You should take both of them no problem.
