i have a 2000 a4 1.8tqm with a dv and exhaust. I was driving home today when i noticed a saab 9 3 flooring it from light to light and this car had the loudest blow off valve tat i have ever heard. So i said why not and i was trying to race him. The only thing is that he wouldnt race me from a dead stop. but we did race from about 25-115mph and i took off at 25 and he stayed at my rear fender until i hit about 65 then i pulled on him a little more and by the time i got to 100 he was right next to me and when i hit 115 he was at my rear fender again then he quit. So i would say that i beat him. i am not bragging because i dont know the specs of the 9 3

I have taken a few A4's with my 99 9-3 Saab... it's all about the driver, since the cars are closely matched, VNV727 is right, lucky u it wasn't a Viggin.....

 

Ya the Viggin's and the 9000 Areo's are FAST...but I have also been taken by a few A4's also..
But I don't have much in the way of mods right now...

Haha, I'm suprised at the number of Saabers there are on this forum...any chipped turbo saab or Viggen would hold its own against A4/S4s...but unfortunately I must admit they'd beat us in the twisties.

 

Ya there seem to be a few of us on here. I was in to Audi's and Volkswagens before Saab's, but they are a good car.
