yeah its closer than ud think i mean the srt 8 isnt 425 rwhp.....its from the crank so its probaly more like low to mid 300s so a stage II+ or stage III will most likely take it, and stage 1 may win in the right conditions(ie with turns and rain )

later
My 2002 WS6 Trans Am had 335 RWHP and 348 RWTQ with an airlid and Borla exhaust, and weighed much less than an SRT 8, running low 13 seconds (similar to what the SRT 8's run) while stock (13.20's stock) and with those mods on the stock tires (it hit 12.80's with Nitto R2's). Since the SRT8 weighs much more than my TA did, I would guess they are closer to 360-375 RWHP, at least, since they are similarly fast to my old TA. They also top out over 170 MPH, so they are no slouch from a roll, either.

Turns and rain would definately make the SRT 8 start to hurt in comparison, though. Throw in a crappy driver and AWD may make the SRT 8 look bad in those conditions.

My estimates where based on what 6.1 hemi guys are getting at the rear wheels

http://www.dragtimes.com/Dodge-Charg...slip-9469.html

this guy has 374 at the rear wheels with exhaust and intake......so stock they probably have 330-350 at the rears........which is inline with my mid to low 300s.....
12.45 @ 116 MPH in a 4200 lb. car is VERY fast for 374 RWHP. The exhaust probably adds somehorsepower, and the homemade CAI is probably good for 10-15 RWHP (my airlid was good for 10 RWHP on back to back dyno runs vs. stock). So I guess mid 300's is about right. But in this guy's case in the 1/4 mi. he is running about what a 1000 lb. lighter 2002 Z06 with 340-350 RWHP (about average) can run. Granted it was a cold day, but the dyno he ran on may be a bit on the low side compared to most dynojets to get a time like that in such a heavy car. With a fully rollerized tranny it is just hard to imagine the car losing 75-100 HP from the flywheel to the rear wheels. Either way, they aren't a slouch in a straight line, and their trap speeds indicate they should be real quick from a roll.

After further research:

I just cut and pasted this from the 300C forums:

Stock peak rear wheel hp: 375 @ 6020 rpm
Diablo peak rear wheel hp: 395 @ 6220 rpm

Stock peak rear wheel trq: 365 @ 4800 rpm
Diablo peak rear wheel trq: 385 @ 4800 rpm

I guess the dyno makes a huge difference, as that car stock was running 375 RWHP, which seems more in line with the times and trap speeds those boats are getting. After looking around more they seem to dyno 365-375 RWHP on average, pretty strong. Here is a video of a SRT 8 Magnum racing a modded C32 from a roll. Based on this, I really wouldn't want to race one of those boats from a roll. http://titsup-racing.com/video/maggi..._vs_c32amg.wmv

Stock SRT8's usually put 360-375 at the wheels.
