Back in the day when I was the owner of a 96 2.8 A6. I used to drive home 95 south from Portsmouth NH, to Newburyport MA, approx. a 30min trip. Late one evening after a long night of bartending (2:40 am or so). I had just gotten on to 95 S. and I noticed a "modified" Nissan Maxima (1999-2000 or so..), with a body kit, wheels, exhaust etc. My A6, virtually stock except my dvd player + stereo equip decided to make a push at him. Needless to say we pushed speeds of 130+mph...our first run went on for quite some time until I pulled away at 125ish. We then proceeded to go through the Hampton toll at a rolling start up to speeds of 125ish...Someone was looking down on me that evening as I randomly decided to slow down (maxima did as well, prolly assumed i had radar)only to see 3 NH State Troopers parked in the dark about 20 seconds after slowing down.

What if we never slowed down? Should we have kept going 'til the next exit? Going 130 what are the chances they would even see us a 1 mile down the road. Granted they could have radio'd ahead I always think of the 'what if?'...

Anyways I beat the maxima several times. and did not get pulled over...

I have since upgrade to an s4.
