a4 vs toolbag in a charger
I just got back from what might have been the most pathetic, but most rewardig, race that ever happened. So I'm driving on rt 9 north in nj and I see this white dodge charger with a big gouty crome grill come flying up on me, so i get on it alittle bit, no downshift but just enough to accelerate a bit. We're weavin in and out of traffic for a little bit and the hole time the guy is right on my a$$. We finally got next to each other at a light and the guy roles down his window and says with a Staten Island accent, yo, you needs mow haus powa in dat thing! I chuckled and was just like ok buddy! Before I tell You what happens i just want you guys to get a visual of how much of a tool bag this guy was. He was probably in his early thirties looked like him and the person in the drivers seat just got back from a business meeting with IBM, both had little blue tooth ear buds on but were crankin some techno italiano crap and where staring at me like im some dumb kid! So any way the light turns green a i put everything into this race. A perfect launch fallowed by some n20 right out of the hole and I completly embaresed this chump, It wasn't even close! so after i destroy him i slowed down and he flew buy. I caught up to him and saw that it was an sxt 6cyl and I just laghed that this a hole would accualy tell me that I need more hp in my thing when he is driving a chromed out 6cyl dogde! I usually would never spray right out of the hole but in this case i had to and it was soooooooooooooo worth it!
I guess thats actually a worth while race, I just looked up the specs and those sxts have 250hp. I guess the weight of the car and the fact that its an auto really slow it down. And I'm sure big chrome wheels don't help much either!

all chargers are auto's, and if it isn't a hemi it is slow, he might have had the awd version which would have added weight
that is 250 at the flywheel also, so roughly about 225 at the most at the wheels, but he weighs as much if not more than we do

hey there .. i actually live close to rt 9...
well the charger u were racing was the v6.. and still beats a stock a4... the hemi will demolish u as for an srt8 forget about it..
i race my boys a4 all the time in my v6 chrysler 300 and i get him each time...

And I am well aware of the fact that if it where an srt8 I would have been eating his dust, I would like to try a run with a regular 5.7 hemi. I think that might be close. I havn't run my car at the track yet but i did video tape my speedo and timed it at 0-100 in 13.8 sec.
