So I was put cruising earlier, and saw some guy in a black Magnum a little ways back. I could tell he was trying to catch up, and he finally got alongside me. I saw it was a Hemi RT model, still had dealer tags on it. The guy was egging me on, getting on it and letting off. I kinda jumped back, but I was in 3rd at like 35ish, so he kinda pulled away. That must have made him thought he could take me, because he stayed pretty close afterwards. We finally lined up at a red-light, no one in front of us, clear road ahead, it's on..... we go from a dig till about 85, and I had him by 3ish cars. I guess he got pissed, cause he just busted a U-turn and took off. Didn't see him again for the rest of the night, haha. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. If it had been an SRT-8, it would've been the other way around........

The SRT-8's (Magnums, 300C's, and Chargers) are pretty much the same as the LS2 GTO's. 4.8-5.0 for 0-60, and high 12's- low 13's in the 1/4. And since my supervisor, who has a 6MT LS2 GTO w/ cai, JBA exhaust beat me by between 3 and 4 cars every time we race, whether from a dig or roll; I figure a well-driven SRT-8 in an average street race will take me by 2-3 cars.

 

Yeah, he got a good launch and we were pretty even till 30, then I started to pull, and once I shifted into second, it was game over. Second gear in my car is my favorite, w/out a doubt. I was going to be cool about it though, and talk to guy, or at least give the thumbs up, but he just whipped it around and took off. I guess he was the sore-loser type..... in that case, he deserved to get put down by a "POS ricer" haha. Cause you know that's what he referred to meas when he was tellin his friends about the race, lol. He prob thinks I had spray or something.[&:]

I actually used to have a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T. Auto, extended cab, 2wd. It had a 5.9 liter (360 ci) with shaved, ported, polished aluminum heads, 3-angle valve job, cai, throttle body, intake manifold, programmer, cam, headers, full exhaust, and 3.92 posi rear-end. That thing was a beast. It had 285's on the back, and let's just say you could do U-turns w/out the steering wheel, lol.
