A buddy of mine just bought a Ram 1500 HEMI and wants to race me. I havent done the research yet, but was just wondering what you guys thought. The only mod I've done so far is the APR Tune.

 

Stock Dodge hemi trucks very a lot in performance,the regular cab short bed ,3.90 gears with posi and 17" wheels and tires is the lightest and fastest combination.A truck so equipped might run a low to mid 14 second 1/4 mile times.A normal extended cab with 20" wheels will turn maybe a high 15 second 1/4 mile time.

 

I hate when people in trucks think they are fast or try to race them, it's called a pick-up truck for a reason. Tell him to go haul something and stop wasting your time.

 

Trucks have basicly taken the place of traditional cheap fast Detroit Iron,They have a big V8 and rear wheel drive and fall into the budget of most younger americans.Hot rodded trucks are a trend that will be with us for quite a while.No a stock Hemi will probably not be much of a threat to 225hp TT,but with a $500 nitrous kit and a cheap catback exhaust that same truck becomes nasty fast at least in a straight line.

 

yup this is true but then he see's the red light slams on his brakes ...skids outa control...hits a tree then BAM the nitro blows and he dies from 3d degree burns 2 weeks later in the hospital....and during those 2 weeks he thinks to himself god damn i shoulda just hauled somthing lmao!! with the apr tune and good driving, i think you will take him

 

Trucks can be pretty fast.
The Chevy SS with the 6.0L V8 is really quick for how big it is.
I've seen some powerstroke trucks go cazy fast with just exhuast and a banks tune.

 

hahha banks tuning is a big deal man dont think lightly of diesel trucks with a banks big hoss kit they will own allota cars on the road go check it out at bankspower.com

I'm a big truck guy. Trucks are my first love cars are my 2nd.
I love a well tuned diesel truck. So much torque.

You should be able to walk him a little, but after you run him ask how many miles to the gallon he got, then drive your TT in his bed and have him haul you around. haha
