I took my 1999 A4 1.8T to the track tonight.
Best run was a 15.302 @ 88.46 MPH, with a 2.054 60'.

I have:
-GIAC chip
-710N DV
-New Stock Clutch
-K&N Filter

What I don't understand is why I couldn't get a better 60' than a 2.0. Anyone else beat that with a stock clutch?

Hmm... i'd say that's a pretty good 60' time, do you know what your time/speed was for the 1/8th mile?

2.0 isnt bad, its enough to stompyour average driverout of a dig if you get a quick R/T.

If you practice at it, on the track, you could probably get that down to a 1.7-1.8 though with the quattro and a hard launch. That would get you a 14.9-15.0 or so on a clean run.

Try playing with your tire pressure. If you have regular radials then dont let too much out, but if you have a decent profile and a stiffer sport-tire sidewall you can get down to 28psi or so. Only let out a couple PSI at a time and keep the rear a couple PSI higher then the front.

Other then that a stiffer spring/shock combo will help transfer power from out of the hole, as will stiffer engine mounts. Some nice soft compound tires and light wheels will also help. Remove excess weight. But its mostly just practice.
