What would it take for me in my B5 1.8t quattro to beat him. He is really annoying and is always asking me to race. he thinks there is no way i will beat him.

My mods are listed. Just wondering what it would take, H.P. wise.

1999 AUDI A4 1.8 QUATTRO.
-bilstien lowering shocks and springs.
-unknown rims (they came with car when i bought it)
-carbonio intake
-Carbonio engine cover.
-s4 front bumber (in body shop being painted)
-EURO BLACK HEADLIGHTS WITH PROJECTORS
- 35W 6,000k HIDS
- cat delete (test pipe)
BUILT HEAD
-racing sodium filled exhaust valves (techtonics tuning)
-racing intake valves (techtonic tuning)
-stage 2 cams (Integrated Engineering)
-racing valve spring set (ecstuning)
-kevlar timing belt
- and with rebuild including the basics tensioners gaskets every bolt i removed was replaced, thermostat, water pump, serp belts, all new hoses, new collant flangs, coolant reservoir, clamps, ect...

 

so you have a built head with cams and no turbo upgrade, chip or tune?

 

well i bought the car not running because of a broken timing belt= bent valves.
so while i was replacing the valves i went ahead and replaced everything else while i had it pulled apart.

 

there's a pretty big weight difference between the two cars. you're going to need at least a chip and a down pipe

 

he laughed at your response, he says that would only maybe give me 160 awhp.

this post is for his convience, i left the forums open the guy with the 84 gti got on my user and is the one that posted this.

he just wants to hear people down my car and up his, i could really care less. he just thinks his car is better then everyone elses and likes to heat it as much as possinble.
im beyond happy with my car. i have only spent about 4,000 on it purchasing and getting it running.

 

Hi, i did use SICKB5's login to post new thread, and a few other posts in the help sections. I'm trying to proove a point to SICKB5.
My car is not superfast, it's been beat by his friend's C5 corvette.
His car does not have stg 2 cams, he has the cams we gave him from head we had lying around at work!

 

SO.... What's the point of this thread? I am sure there is plenty to be done to put this car on par with the said GTI, but if you only have 4,000 invested in the car, I say enjoy it for what it's worth!

To get this car to the level of the GTI would take a lot of time and/or money, considering the GTI is swapped, chipped, and has the normal bolt ons.....

I did just notice your sig, you weigh 2000 lbs with the mods listed and only hit 104mph? What type of power do you think you are putting out?

then he made his own account just to post to try to make me look dumb...
point being he posted it to hear what he want to hear everyone say his car is better....
obviously he has a swap and chip so forth...

if i had a motor swap and gutted my car and left it in a feild to rust to where i can see the rod threww the bottom of my car like his and bolt ons im sure i would be the one beating him...

i know i cant beat him for now... i weigh 2000 more and have about 70 hp less.
