1. Have you ever raced before? If so, was it legally (On a track, scca..etc) or illegally (street, parking lot etc...)

1.yes. motorcycles legally on am track days and illegally on the street, cars illegally at the night races in san jose, ca
2.layed my bike down once, in a parking lot, not on the track. i never raced my own car, just friends' cars. the only accident i've ever been in was a sheriff broad-siding me while running a stop-sign the cop, not me)
3.that happened after i stopped racing, but it was his fault, not mine.

6.racing cars in a controlled environment is the best way to familiarize yourself with the limits of your car, which obviously makes you a much safer driver. street racing isn't smart in almost any situation.

 

1 yes I have raced both legally at mosport and illegally on the streets in my younger days
2 well only had 2 accident in my car but not me driving not sure if that counts one was on the street and the other was legal

5)Racing legally has not helped me become a better driver. All it has helped me with was reaction time at the light. Maybe if i was legally racing on a track or something yeah it might help but dont know for sure.

6)Messing around in the snow ice in parking lots has greatly improved my driving ability. It really helps learn how the car will reacted in different situations on the road.

 

1. Yes I have raced both illegally and legally.
2. I have had 1 car accident while racing illegally. With my old Type R .
3. I guess after the race. Raced down a long street (If anyone live in GTA: ALLEN ROAD, just north of SHEPPARD) and then made a rigth turn on RED, car hit me at my front left side.

5. Definetly, a better defensive driver, however, I feel now that I need to speed more often. I have noticed myself exceeding speed limits more often since I started to race legally.
6. I have to agree with some people here: Street racing is not the brightest idea. I strongly recommend anyone doing this. I feel if you are in a controlled environment, like legal tracks with proper safety messaures taken, then you should race. Otherwise, racing in any other situation is just foolishness. Once you do get into a "street race" accident you will realize the consequences you have to face.
