So i was home a few weeks ago on leave (in the military) and a friend and i were cruisin on the freeway goin to a party. this turbo Integra was getting on the freeway so i sped up a lil to let him on since i had cars to the left of me and i wasnt about to slow down. well me speeding up, the integra took it as i wanted to race... f*ck it i said. we ended up getting away from traffic and slowed down to 35mph. he wanted to run for slips... i should have, him and his 3 passengers would have been walking home. when we were rolling at 35 i downshifted to 2nd gear and the race was on. This honda was just loud, his BOV was crazy loud but wasnt going anywhere. i had this guy by bus lengths, keep in mind this wasnt a T1 Integra, it was aftermarket forced induction... and mine... STOCK! im not one to usually mess with Honda's on the freeway considering i know what they are capable of since i own one, but it was a pretty sad race. he was a good run up to about 60 and then i just kept pulling. this went on for a probably 10 miles. I'd slow down after being far ahead of him, he'd slowly creep up on me then pull. every time he started to pull i slapped my car to the tiptonic shifting, downshifted as much as i could and slammed the gas, every time, it never failed, he'd get to my fender and then i'd catch and pass his ***. enough said, for 200whp on the 2.0T B7... im satisfied, and soon ill be doin turbo/ fmic/ chip upgrades, aiming for 400whp to match my civic.

 

Good run, they seem to start pulling me up top @ the track but I'm across the line before they can catch me (1.9 60ft ftw!) Hopefully my turbo will even that out a little

 

Im sure if he would have really tried he could have gotten the pass by on me at my top speed (135) but once i get felony speeds it wasnt even worth it anymore

 

That's why it sucks playing on the street, even if they caught you at lower speeds with the teg it's still considered street racing and that at least 5 points if not more.

 

mayeb his turbo was making negative power, lol!

doesn't a dohc vtec already have 200hp? (about as much as the 2.0t)...and the honda is lighter, probably even with three heads in it. lol

 

It depends on what DOHC motor it is. The B18A GSR (real jdm not usdm) motor yes. Its. A very strong motor, and with a few minor upgrades can be hell on wheels lol. I took my car to dyno a few months back, only hit 156whp with straight down pipe... I was confused, looking into it more from when I got the car originally its 200bhp and 186whp... still raced my buddies 2008 Honda s2000 and still pulled on him lol love my car lol
