Hey when I launch my friends 65 mustang GT (I cant launch in my audi its a auto and I dont want to do a brake stand)all I do is a huge burnout and create tons of smoke. I did everythin people have told me, (top of the torque curve, drop clutch). What am I doin wrong, or do I need to get the tires hotter?

If you go and use a blow dryer on your tires, or stick them in the oven for about 10 minutes at 450 before you go to drive, you'll launch with no problems and you won't do a smoke show.

 

u guys are hilarious, lol i never thought of pressin on the gas so hard, cuz i have seen some insane sh** with slicks on where guys are gettin rediculous grip. dont matter, got it all sorted out, went down to the track last night, cuz it was open track and got it down there.
wow all i have to say is i feel retarded now

 

14.46 and my reaction time was .21 (i kno its kinda slow, we are still workin here), I have seen the same car run a 13.86 but he was rediculous and i dont think he has a stock tranny.
