so i havent gotten my b5 s4 yet but when i do im going to have to race my buddy who has a 96 svt cobra with cold air intake offroad h pipe and i think thats it but anyone else ever raced these and what do you think the outcome of this race would be??

I wouldnt be to sure the only year cobra I everworry aboutis 03-04s. If you can drive I say drivers race. Anything done to the B5, Auto or Man?Overall I wouldnt be to worried if he dose beat you it wont be by much....

ya its just stock manual maybe getting a chip but my buddy has a 2000 a6 2.7t which is heavier than the s4 and he says he can beat the mustang but idk i wasnt there but they both won a race but its just different stories from the both of em so idk

 

The cold air intake and testpipe really free up flow on the Cobra, and let it breathe. Stock intake is restricitve. Also, stock B5 S4 isn't all that impressive. It does respond well to modification though.

Overall its a stock 96 cobra with exhaust he might have gained 15hp with his mods, IF THAT, race him, beat him, and call it a day if not send him my way
