So this idiot at work keeps pushing me for a race..........he's got a 1999 Acura TL (not a Type S) 3.2L V6, FWD, Automatic.....roughly 3454 lbs......I think he's got 225hp, but torque is pretty low.... 214??? I am pretty sure I am gonna eat him for lunch.......only one way to find out, but what are your thoughts?

plus you will look better doing it

and with 93 tunning you should be at around 220ish crank right, and almost 300 tq

it is a drivers battel, with him having fwd in that car and auto

I am actually just shy of 250hp at the crank, not sure of the torque.....I have the Stage 1+ chip, and that alone is 235hp/275 torque.......with my exhaust I figure another 10-15hp, but unsure about the additional torque.
I'm actually surprised to hear it would be close, I thought for sure I would destroy him..........guess there is only one way to tell for sure

You won't destroy him. I had a 2001 3.2 CL which is the coupe version and they are only 225 HP. The car was plenty quick and will surprise you. If its wet, its over. You got him. I bet the TL hangs off your bumper the whole time. I test drove a 6 speed CLS once (rare) and they are a lot of fun.
Good luck and let us know who wins.

haha i think this is gonna be a funny race, i bet weight and wheel hp are pretty close but you got yours to all your wheels not to just the front, and have a manual, and a whole **** stack of torque compared to him so you should pull pretty good

So yesterday we raced (twice).....both times from a dig. The first time I got him by about 1/2 car and I was extremely surprised it was that close. The second time I had an incredible launch....so good that I new I would win right away....that time we agreed it was by 2 lengths.....Audi FTW!!!!!
He said well there is no way you would beat the new TL, I just laughed and said well you're not driving the new TL are you???
