Suspension Is your ride slammed to the ground? Did you lift it so high you need a ladder to get in? Step in and let's talk about it.

Default 2000 Audi A4 1.8T Q with sport suspension

My 2000 Audi A4 1.8T Q with sport suspension, I was told that all I need to do is to change the shocks to adjustable ones since it all ready has sport springs. Is that true? If not what is the best best recommendation without getting coilovers?

i also have a 2000 a4 1.8t q with sport suspension, and all i changed were shocks. i chose bilstein shocks with grooves and all i did was lower the front 1/2in and now the front and back wheel gaps look even. The ride is pretty good, just a little stiffer then the stock sport and thats how i like it. Its just come down to how you want it.

look by your spare tire there should be a lable with all the codes for options, there is a thread on this site called "option codes", search it. You can see if yours has the sport package.

Someone help me out here. I'm interested in these Bilstein Groove shocks. When I look at all the vendors promoting on here, none of them specifiy "groove"... so what exactly am I looking for?

Checkout www.awetuning.com , www.Ecstuning.com , www.perums.com If you go with Neuspeed , H&R , Vogland there all good.Change the struts with bilsteins when you change your springs and It will last you a long time and get an alignment. Go to www.Audiworld.com for a good DIY on changing coilovers its the same process for changing your springs. It took about 2-3 hours a wheel taking my time its a good saturday-to-sunday job.

I've run race and sport springs and now have sports by choice.
Race springs best looks tightest ride
Sport springs sits pecfect about 1.25' more clearance still stiff but gives you some ride comfort
Oem sport nice ride bigger wheel gap about 2' to much for wheel to look perfect.
Stock springs spongy eye sore!
