I have no first hand experience for you, but i did do a little research into air ride for the a4... Air ride seems to be used alot for luxury cars and large commercial vehicles, i just came off a qualification course that teaches how to maintain them and how they work. Not too many people use them for performance handling. It would make your ride quality quite a bit more comfortable. (limos use them quite a bit) They are largely expensive kits as well. You'd probably end up paying more to buy one and have it installed than you would for an a4 of your desired year. Hope i shed some light on the topic
Cheers
