Suspension Is your ride slammed to the ground? Did you lift it so high you need a ladder to get in? Step in and let's talk about it.

Default clunking and squeaking

2001 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro.
The suspension is starting to sqeak and clunk, especially in the rear. What would cause that? Also, if i'm needing to replace struts, springs, whatever...can anyone recommend a decent kit that might also lower the body an inch or two? This is a daily driver for work, and that's about it...so not wanting to spend a ton, but I'll spend just a little more if I can get it lowered just a bit.

TIA,
Matt

DOH! just realized this might be the wrong forum. I'll try to find a more appropriate one.

for my b5 wagon the result of the very obnoxious squeek was the broken coil spring digging into the strut itselt. lo and behold three out of the four springs were cracked causing similar sounds from all around the car. my fix is a set of ksport coilover suspension which coincidentally is on backorder and its pissing me off bigtime that ksport cant do anything about it.

beware of ksports customer service its been horrible for me, theres no support at all.

It's very common for the control arm bushings to go bad. There are kits on several parts websites.
