Does anyone have any tips on how to use these damn things without killing your hands?

Everytime I use them to adjust my CO's, they cut into my hands. Even with work gloves they are just so thin that they cut right into the inside of my knuckles. It's driving me crazy! I wouldn't mind doing the adjustments if it weren't for this hassle.

Any ideas?

 

get a leather belt and wrap it around the part where your hand goes, then still use the gloves.
