ok its from the rear passanger side. someone said it was an upper control arm but im not 100% and i cant find this part for crap

Get a wider view of these pics. Cant see what is behind it. Doesn't look like a normal control arm though. I have an 05 A6 3.2 and my upper control arms definitely don't look like this. I'm wondering if this is some aftermarket arm? Then again Im not a mechanic. Someone on here will surely know though. Come on, help this chap out people!
