Default wanting to go lower...what do you reccommend?

I am just starting to modify my car some and wanting to know suggestions as far as lowering. I have a '04 A4 1.8 Quattro AWD. Springs and shocks? I was looking at Eibach springs...but was told I may only need to get rear shocks instead of all four.

Does this make sense?
I am also not wanting to spend a whole lot of money, but am also not about to just throw anything on my car.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When your tires start to lean in from the top, your going to wish you had never done it, or at least spent the couple grand to have a proffesional do it right.

Well I am definately getting them put on by a body or mod. shop and getting a wheel alignment afterwards of course, but I was just talking about brands of shocks and springs.

I found nice Eibach sport springs to lower it 1.4" and front and rear sport shocks, but was wondering if I had to match the Eibach shocks with springs, or can I buy Bilstein sport shocks instead?

Thanks for the tip though!

Cool get low

if your going with just springs go with tien lux masters, but your going to be mad after about 6 mo,
i ran bilstiens sports and tien lux in my b5 i wouldn't trade my coilovers(adjustable damper nex coils with pro tek 2100/1900 race springs) for nothing maybe a g2 but other than that dude get low
and to stop crazy top camber Stern makes adjustable tie rod ends and you can roll your fenders with a bat if need be so you dont rub to much

Here's what I had in mind:

-Eibach Sportline Kit Springs 1.7” Front and Rear
-Eibach Pro damper Front & Rear Shocks Kit

I'm definately new at this and just want it look sexy, lol. But I have a lot to learn obviously.

i ran tiens for a while they where 1.7'' they where lux masters. they road ok. if you go with eibach get the progressive rate springs, there better for a daily driver and when you want it t be sporty it still will. but eibach makes a good product. i still wouldnt go back to sport nothing
