Default 05 A6 electrical problems help

Hey Everyone,

I am new here because I just bought my son an 05 A6 3.2 Quattro automatic with no CEL’s. First off let me say for an 05 with 155,000 miles on this car it drives and handles as one would suspect an Audi would smooth nimble fast.

I am a seasoned auto mechanic, with over 30 years of experience, but I don't do a lot with the Audi's.

so let's start of by saying that a couple of friends that have owned these have told me that they have a water issue with the BCM getting wet under the seats, is that true?

The problems i have i don't know are related or i should trouble shoot them individually. I just bought an aultel bi-directional scanner and am looking for the wiring diagrams. Can anyone help with that?

Problems

1.) Brake/Park light flashing on dash board and the light in the EPB blinking. I was able to test the system with my scan tool and i can actuate the brakes.

2.) Cruise control not working, I would tend to believe this is because of the brake issue.

3.)Radio not working, The MMI splash screen comes up and then nothing else. There is a popping sound that comes through the speakers when the car shuts on and off.

4.) Passenger seat doesn't move I haven't tried trouble shooting this as it is the least of my worries.

5.) The fan seams to be coming on very frequently haven't gotten there yet as the brake light is my most important issue to get an inspection sticker.

Thanks for all your help and Guidance

JB
