Still have having throttle body issues. '99 1.8T.VAG - 17973throttle control(j338) Fault in basic setting p1559-35-00, 17973 throttle actuator(j388) Lower stop not reached p1565-35-00.

Getting error with electronic TBA. ERROR for Throttle valve pot voltage, NOT for Operational status.

Vehicle runs fine(minus CEL), idles fine, seams a little different with compression braking of engine while applying brakes.

Any advice thanks in advance. Throttle body or vacuum pot system?

 

Hi mate just got same type of code come up on my Audi a4, see post above no idea what to do, i have replaced throttle bodys still to no joy, just be careful as mine has completely gone, if you find out anymore than me please let me know.

Sounds like the pedal sensor, if you clear the code, & it pops right back up, chances are the part needs to be replaced.

 

^^^ Yeah, looking it up in the factory repair manual for that fault code the only repair is to replace the pedal sensor/actuator.
