Sorry to bring an old post back to life, but I stumbled on this last night while trying to find an answer.

I would have shared this info sooner if I had known anyone would have cared.

If you are using an ebay vag cable (mine is from alpha-bid) and want to register your vagcom software without paying, just use version 3.11n. I have found no difference between 3.11 and 409. Any cable that can run 409 should be able to use 3.11. And if you are good with bittorrent, you will find a keygen.

Second, if you are using a 64bit OS such as XP/Vista/7 64bit, you can use this software:

http://66.196.80.202/babelfish/trans...tml&.intl=us#6

If is not as elegant as vag-com but it works. I must give the credit to Iznogoud over at MNaudi.com for pointing out the wbh-diag software. Before you tell me it's in German, select the correct flag at the top.

sorry I wasn't more clear. I tried the program you linked and couldn't get it to work. I'm not sure if it's my usb adaptor or the program....

sorry crazyguy, but I can't help you with the wbh-diag. It is new to me and it is far more complicated than vag-com is. If you have a 32 bit os, use vag-com.

Everyone who are having problems using version 311.2 on windows 7 64bit version, just install Windows Virtual Pc and Windows XP Mode. After insalling these just open windows xp mode and install youre vag-com softwere. Works perfectly.
