damn, i don't log on for 6 hours and i get all these replies........... so here it goes..........

i checked for campgrounds, there are spaces up to 30 or more, so we can have more people come now.

As for my Friend who's a Rangers, well, he's in Nicaragua right now, so he can't help me, nor will he bein the US.

Richard, we are DEFINATELY hiking up Half Dome, I've been to Yosemite twice, and STILL haven't hiked up there yet.

ok, update........ There are Availability for Campsites for Either thur, August 2nd - Sunday, August 5th OR thursday Aug 16 - sunday Aug 19. I'll give you guys Til Saturday to post comments. The Campsite and hold up to 30 people MAX and 15 cars per group. oh, and Reservations are $280 for the campsite.......... including a $10 cancelation fee. i'll split the cost on the day of.

 

so how about the 16-19th? then we can still make the euro trip and camping would be before school starts? how does that work out (people with school...)

....what kind of hook ups are we looking for anyways?

as long as we get hooked up with some dirt, tall trees, great weather, and fresh air, oh and of course some curvy pavement........ then i'm a pretty hapy CAMPER!

 

So, are we bringing family or is this a hardcore event? I'm thinking either me, or me and my son will attend. It's too much to bring the ladies along too. Not enough amenities for them.

we'll be doing some hiking, but i think the longest hike is 4 hours each way, so it'll be an 8 hr hike

ok, Update........... I found out that campsite are ALL booked up for the month of August. there are still campsites available but on inside the Yosemite Park, it's on the outskirts of the park, roughly about 30 miles from the main touristy/hiking areas.

BUT

There are tons of campsites available inside the Yosemite National Park during the Month of September. so it's up to you guys, camp outside Yosemite during August, and Drive into the parkduring theday (can hold a lot of cars and 30 max ppl).......... or Camp inside the Park during September (very hard to get a campsite for more than 15 ppl, limited parking).

Hmm I like outside cause there's less mosquitos... but I'll be out on a business trip on August 14-19 in boston....
