Heinz and I just talked about it and we will come if we are able to. We went to the Hearst Castle and stayed in Cambria earlier this year, not much to do but we uhm..... found "stuff" to do. We went to San Luis too.....yummy bbq.

 

I'll be sure to be at this event............ don't care where......... just give me a heads up so i can get off work. =)

 

So not to be the obvious noob, but I did dig and came up pretty empty. I see lots of posts of "lets get together" and "me too" when someone talks about a gathering, but is there an actual group in Norther California (i.e. nocal, norcal) area? I'm in the Bay Area myself.

There are NorCal g2g's. I dunno about an actual structured "group" up here though. There have been a couple g2g's that I've heard about. One was in Walnut Creek, the other was by Crystal Springs (280 & 92). Didn't get a chance to go to either of them. So, I'm really looking forward to this g2g in SLO. It'll be my first.

 

Velo, If you take the 101 and get off on 41. not 46 isn't that a good road for a little while. before it meets back up with 46 od course. Also lot's of cops out on 46. So I don't recomend that road at all. On a side note I know I live in So Cal, but I am a Nor Cal kid. Born in Sac-town and raised right next to Yosemite National Park. you guys want to talk twisty roads. they Don't get much beter then those.

 

I've been on the 46 & didn't see any cops. Never been on the 41 before... am not familiar with that road. Yeah... they do have some really nice twisties up in the Gold country.

Back to the topic at hand... anybody have any other suggestions, as to other locations, or more importantly, a date & time? It sounds to me like this discussion is going towards meeting down in SLO.

meet in SLO for pictures, & meet & greet... then lunch..
afterwards head on a nice drive...

sounds good. with me. much later then that and the racing season starts up again. So I'll be gone most weekends until next winter.

 

A few of us in NORCAL are always down aslong as its planned out. Even a track day at Button WIllow was thought up but not everyone is down for that. What about the Pizmo or Santa Maria area? Pizmo is always kick *** to rent a quad or atv and go crazy on the dunes.
