Okay Peeps,

My A3 is gone for the next 4 or 5 days. Here's the story:

On Wednesday, when it was 97 degrees outside, I got in my car to go home and the air conditioner wouldn't work. I was pissed and drove to the dealership and told them to fix it. The next day they called and explained that the AC high pressure line was pushed up against the serpentine belt and it broke open. It was cause by the front Radiator/IC piece being loose and pushing everything back into the engine. They said I must have hit a bump too hard causing it to snap, that it wasn't covered under warranty, and the repair would be around $1k.[&:][:@][:'(] The service tech asked me to come and look at it before any repairs to see the damage and what had occurred. When I got there, the tech took me through the entire front end, and basically, the front hadn't been fixed or attached properly after my accident this Spring. The car is now with the auto body shop and they are putting the foreman in charge of fixing it properly. He told me that the tech who worked on my car had since been fired. That's nice to hear.

BTW, I really need to give props to the service advisor at Pacific Audi, Joseph. He bent over backwards for me, helping push around the "mods" on my car, getting me a rental for free, working on adjustments to my car well after the 12mth/12k mile time frame, and outlining everything in the service document for the body shop. He insisted that I check out the car for myself and kept it on the lift and apart so I could check it out prior to any work. He also made adjustments for my bill so I wouldn't be out an arm and a leg, although that will be reimbursed by the body shop. Definitely a cool guy to work with. Now I'm just hoping that my car will be back fine again, FINALLY!!!

I'll post some pics up later.

Cheers!

chef -I can't believe the luck at least it's all getting taken care of. good luck and mods? what mods? totaaly stock thats what I would tell them. the dealership gave it to me that way.
