SoCal A6 on the market
Unfortunately, it is mine. The wife and I are talking kids and home improvements, so I've put my wonderful A6 on the market. This car has been problem free and a pleasure to own. Let me know if you or anyone you know is interested. It is the perfect car for those who love the bi-turbo S4, but need a bigger car.

I must be one of the most indecisive people on the planet. As soon as I posted my auto trader ad and posted here, I immediately began to feel "seller's remorse" if there is such a thing. It really is a great car, so I'm probably going to keep it. I just spent $79 for an Autotrader ad. Maybe I'll just keep running the adand change the asking price toa cool mil until I am ready to sell it. For an educated fellow, I can be quite the retard at times.[:@]
i never took my autotrader search email notification off after i bought mine. i was just notified about your car.
seriously, i was at a party last summer and started talking with a friend of a friend who has an e36 m3. before the end of the party i was off on a test drive and fell in love with the car. the power. the handling. it was great. i had a 4th gen maxima at the time. there wasn't a whole lot to compare. i did some research and found an e36 m3 sedan. when i went and looked at it i was happier than kid on xmas morning. it looked clean, drove as well as the coupe i had tried. it was just about perfect. when we got back, i popped the trunk open. pfffffffft. i've got a 1yo and a 5yo. forget it. there wasn't ANY way that was going to work. f'ing practicality! so, i started hunting for an m5. surely an m5 would have a bigger trunk. i mean, last time i checked 5 > 3. so, a week goes by, no luck finding an m5 that is worth going to look at. i end up at a used car lot checking out a 540. looks nice. but, before we go on a test drive, i want to see the trunk. pffffffffft. hell no. i just laugh. wtf is bmw thinking? i'm not going for a 7 series. i turn around ready to walk out and don't even take two steps. parked directly behind the 540 is a b5 s4. looks small. but, i decided to check out the trunk anyway. SCORE. i get in the back seat to give it the "my body = size of 1yo car seat" test. it passes. we go for a test drive and i am in love. i was going to buy it. but, i decide i need to go home and do some research on the s4 because i'm not familiar with it. a week later, the car i test drove is gone. i would have bought it. about a month later, whilst searching i come to the realization that my younger son is growing VERY fast. at 4 months he is too big for the "regular" rear-facing car seat he needs. i look into bigger car seats. guess what, there dimensions are SO big that it won't fit in the back seat without rendering the front seat unusable. :/ i found out about the a6 2.7t and the lights went on. ding!ding!ding! i started looking. i took 5 test drives is 3.0s 4.2s a 2.8 and a couple 2.7ts. finally, i came to the realization that if i wanted space for the family and something i could have fun in. i NEEDED a 2.7t with a stick. i looked for 4 months and finally had mine shipped from VA!
now, i'm sorry for the long post. BUT, you and i, sans a few mods, have the exact same car, same color and mine only has about 3K more on the clock. i put a lot of time and effort into finding the perfect family car (for me) and i did. i refuse to own a minivan. i'm not a big fan of suvs and i wanted a stick. if you fit those traits, you need to look around for the right family car. then, you'll relize, you've already got it.
