I'm not a regular on this site at all, but I noticed that there arent any monthly meets for audis in this part of the forum at least. All my other friends who run japanese cars always meet.
So Im going to take the first step and try to start something.

So here it is:

SOCAL AUDI MEET

When: Probably in late Sept.
Where: TBA, Im calling around
Why: Because I want to see other Audis and shoot the ****

So post here if your interested in this. That way I can get things moving/

 

depends WHERE and WHEN... i'm usually down, if i'm not too busy or lazy.

 

There's usuallya meet on the last sunday of each month but I dont know whats been going on with that.

I vote we do INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING! There's a place in Costa Mesa and if we go with the group rate (5 people min) its $18 per person with a 2 hour climb.

If we decide to partake. I suggest we climb for one hour first (get everyone situated and familiar) then take a quick break which involves downing 3 shots of vodka. And have a timed race for the rest of the hour there... with video of course

I'm starting to like your idea a LOT Rich. Careful of the old fat guy, he grew up in Colorado and is one hell of a climber.

BTW, the meets are still happening. We just had the SoCal Euro event last month and summer vacations which screwed up our normal meeting pattern.

Maybe it's time for a September SoCal GTG? I know that many were looking at the Dubfest as the September GTG. Who knows???

I dont mind if its this one or another one. I just never been to an Audi meet really and I wanted to start one or go to an existing one.
Doing events might be cool.
As far as location, it would be in OC probably if I get the spots Ive thought of.

 

We do have a locals groupusually meeting up once a month, but in the last few months there have been a lot of events going on so most people have just been meeting up there... We usually meet up in Costa Mesa, San Diego, ect.
Sometimes it's good to get the meets in different areas so more people have a chance to make it out.... there are quite a few locals from SD who drive up to costa mesa all the time(dedication)... i may be down to meet at the end of this month but for sure i'm gonna head to the show this weekend.... bring your cameras! - and welcome to the forums Justin

 

id be down for a socal meetup...im in anacrime...and i wouldnt mind driving to SD if there was a reason to go...most other times ive been in SD were just kinda boring...

 

well, Im down here in Newport Beach. So, if I can figure something out down here that would be near food areas or something who would be down for it.
Maybe I can get some companies to donate things for a raffle or something. I dont know, anythings possible. Im sure if I got a large head count, companies wouldnt mind giving some stuff to create advertisment.

 

we usually meet at the spectrum parking garage and go from there. i am down for a meet next month i have a bunch of two day races coming up so i will be busy for the rest of this month.
