My A4 B5 front seat has a huge split in the seat bottom.

Anyone has repair done at a Seattle area upholstery shop?

I see you can get a oem cover for about $350. I've also looked at the local junkyards, but most of the seats I've seen are also split.

I can't give you a direct answer; what I did was swap a good passenger-seat bottom to the driver seat. It requires a little disassembly and some reassembly, and cutting a couple slits in the cover to fit the driver side.
