I've searched far and wide, but still need some help guys. Trying to mount a set of new gen 5 Double Spoke 17 x 7.5 (A4) on my 01 2.7T. Any ideas on if I'm going to have any troubles before I drive 110 miles and drop $450 on them?

Should not be an issue. The only thing I can think of is that if the offset is too low you may have issues clearing the front brake calipers if you have the 2.7T big brakes (they were an option on the 2.7T).

Mainly it is a concern for the OEM 16s.

Thanks. That's my main concern. I'm currently running the stock 17's and the ones I'm looking at are 2mm tighter.

 

So, the answer is no. The new generation 5 double spoke 17 x 7.5 do NOT fit my 2.7T without spacers. Still, decent set of wheels at a good price.
