Hey all -

I am just about to pick up a set of 17" BBS LM's for my '08 Audi A3. I was hoping that you guys could provide your expertise on whether or not this setup will work without rubbing;

Note: I am currently running the stock S-Line Suspension

The BBS LMs will be;

Front: 17 x 8 (40mm)
Rear: 17 x 9 (42mm)

My fenders are rolled - but I haven't taken out the screw or trimmed as many of you have.

I really do not want to run stretched tires - so I was thinking 225/17/45's for the front and maybe 245/17/40's in the rear. I also do not plan on lowering (unless it looks 100% ridiculous).

What size tire would you recommend and/or do you think I will run into any problems?

BBS LM are one of my favourites. I seem to remember seeing a black A4 avant on this forum that had them... it was really classy looking! I can't comment on your fitment issues with those specs... but... have you considered going with 18's? I'd be tempted to...

I personally like the meaty tire look, so I think 17's are perfect for me. As it is, i'm already scared going over potholes and such - and can't imagine doing the same with 18's and a lower profile tire.

As much as I love this setup - I actually have it up for sale on craigslist (in no rush, but if you know anyone! )
