18 x 8.5" +25 on A6 widebody 4.2 ?
I want to find aggressive, concave wheels for my 2000 A6 4.2 widebody. I have heard of people using spacers with +35 wheels, so do you guys feel it is possible to run +25 wheels on the widebody?
Any wheel suggestions on the concave look I am going for?
Also, can I run a 255/35/18 tire? It sure seems like there is a lot of room under there.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I found some AMG replica wheels that might not look bad:

Not a lot of A6ers, in here, huh? Try posting the same question in the A6 section of the forums, too, if you haven't already done so. You may find better help. The A6 crowd tends to be more insular, in their nature. Seldom venturing out beyond the A6 section, I've noticed.
Good luck!

First, the 255/35-18 would be a great fit so no worries about that! It's harder to fit this size on some of the other Audis of this year but the flared fenders give you extra room the other models don't have.
As for the wheel, I see an 18x8.5 should clear well and the 18x9 should be close. So close, that it makes me think the 18x9.5 might start to rub the suspension parts. The 8.5'' width can be used with an offset anywhere from 30-40mm with no problem.
I don't really like to work with spacers because of the increased stress they can put on the ball joints. Already had problems with that and the repair cost was something worth avoiding.

As a general guideline, wider width means more rubber touching the road so you get more responsiveness and handling. The only detriment would be snow/ice traction where you need a slimmer width to slice that tire through it instead of roll over it.
