Default 20" Rims?

Ok so I recently bought a new (new to me) 2000 Audi A6 2.7t quattro. The guy I got it from was "gangsta". It came with 20" rims that barely fit. I am planning on getting rid of these to get smaller rims. The two things I want to know is 1. Are the 20" rims going to hurt my differential? It is such a large jump from the 16" stock, so I am kinda worried. And 2. Does anyone have suggestions for size/brand, that sort of thing. I am hoping I can sell these for a nice price since the guy bought them for 2,000 and they have brand new tires on them.

18" wheels are the best all around, I run 17" with snows in the winter. 19s are a bit harsh when it comes to ride quality.

17" Winter ...

18" Spring Summer Fall ...

thanks, I am looking into that. So far I have just put the stocks back on and I am selling the old 20" ones.
