Fix-A-Flat & TPMS
Anyone ever had problems using fix-a-flat in a tire with TPMS? I've heard that it can cause problems, and to "please consult the manufacturer before you add a can to your roadside emergency kit."
Just wondering if anyone has any input or advice on this, as i'm getting my new A4 w/ TPMS in about a week. Thanks!

The problem with Fix-a-Flat is that the goop you spray into the puncture to seal it up can gum up the sensor and render it ineffective. If your vehicle has a metal valve stem/direct TPMS then it would be susceptible to this.
If you're not sure if you have a sensor in your wheel, let me know the full YMM and I would be happy to find out for you.

I'm getting an '11 A4 Quattro Premium Plus. I know it has TPMS, but I don't know enough about it to know what kind, if there are different kinds (?).
I have a can of fix a flat for a truck I have, which I just noticed says right on the can "tire sensor safe", which sounds good. But I'd still like to have someone tell me not to worry about using it on my A4
