Going on my 3rd set of tires for my A3, and want a set that won't cost me the farm, but will last more than 25k miles? Was recommended the Hankook V12s, but someone else said they didn't like the sidewalls on those (too flimsy).

Any and all suggestions welcome. Would like to spend less than $700 for a set.

 

just spent a bit more than $5 bills for a set of 4 Falken Ziex 912 tires. 215/55/r16. 93 load rating, V speed rating. Only had them on for a few days now but they seem to be good tires for the money. the local shop was advertising a buy 3 get one free deal on Falken tires (seemed like a national type event). mounting and balancing was reasonable.

of course now I'm seeing all kinds of deals on tires from NTB/Merchant's and Sears among others.
