I ran staggered 8.5 and 9.5 with 215's all around. It was fine!

I mean, it can arguably considered as dangerous or what not but we'll just end it there.

as long as the overall diameter of the tires are the same all around, you can run whatever widths you can fit in the wheel wells. the tires just need to all roll the same distance in 1 revolution, or you eat your differentials.

That's why any reputable tire place won't replace just two wheels on an AWD vehicle. I never knew why, because the wife's Pacifica is an AWD, and I only really needed front tires. So I did some research and learned that if the front and back aren't the same size, the diff is going to do entirely too much work, and wears out prematurely...
