I only had about 500 miles on a new timing belt, then a bolt, from my cam position sensor, vibrated out, and fell down to the crank gear, wedged it self in, and shredded my belt. So with the internet, my shade tree experience, and several friends(saviors) help rebuilt and upgraded my 2001 A4 1.8T.

Here's a very good example of 1.8T sludge. And since I bought the car I had flushed it with everything I could think of and it still looked like this inside.
