What do the black exhausts on RS6's mean? Are they the sound enhancing exhausts?

 

SE are black stock are chrome

 

I've seen chrome and black tips, so there isn't a difference between the two besides color?

I believe the regular exhaust has the chrome tips. SE exhaust has black.

I have an 02 S6, but I have a friend that might be interested in an RS6. We drove 2 this weekend and they both had black tips but I usually see chrome tips around.

I think by SE, he meant "sound enhanced".

 

Your friend should definately go with an RS6.. What would he be replacing?
