Hey everyone.... i recently just bought an s4 so i'm new to the forum. I just had a quick question.... The car came with an AMS chip and a stock ecu. I tried to look into the AMS chip but I figured i should just ask the people who know. Will everything be ok with the chip with stock everything else, or should I swap for stock ecu? Any input would be appreciated. thanks.

I'm really not sure what your question is. Are you asking if the chip will provide too much power to the drive train? If so, the answer is no. The engine, tranny, diffs, etc... will be fine.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was actually more concerned about having stock injectors, not so much power do the drivetrain. I wasn't sure if the chip did anything to fuel ratio. It might just be a stupid question, but inputs appreciated. Thanks again.

 

im pretty sure it doesnt but if you have a tip tranny it can only handle somewhere around 400hp but you should be fine as long as you dont rag on the car
do the darintake man it makes a big difference
