Nice forum, lots of readers but I figure few people actually work on their own cars!

I suspect you might have an electrical problem. While I am not familiar with this particular transmission and model I have had two Audi's and electrical problems for 10+ year old cars is very common. Audi transmissions are also notorious leakers. Did you check fluid level and pull any codes of the ECU?

yea i checked the oil was real burn like, the dealership said that it could be caused by the front seal leaking and thus causing the friction plates to "weld" together.

I dont have the mags, the proprio still has them and offer to sell them to me, sure i dont sell the center caps ;-)

Nether the sensors, sorry i need them..

Your tranny has broken soleinoids inside the tranny and oufff it ll cost mmm lost, my friend is manager at German garage around here and did that job.....

There is nothing to do with oil, if it does not shift at all on drive, its solenoid job need.

Tranny price, i dont know.i have been told by him its 1500$. He found on of them only in New York for a client here and cost 1000$ US + shipping.... my god...

800$, i must sell it (it s cheaper than one solenoid unit) ,cause i have so much Audi parts here and want to clean the garage. I m on a V8 swap project and need place for that, begin soon.

We can also exchange parts. I m looking for

4000Q man tranny with shift link and shifter, and complete 200TQ 1989.5 1990+ clutch (flywheel, pressure plate and disk), used ;-).

or

5000TQ or 200TQ man tranny ,would be ok ,(with shift link and shifter)with his rear diff 3.89 ratio, and the clutch disk.

We can get a 200TQ or 5000TQ here for about 500$ but not for sale for now, so if you get that you find good one out there for 500$ then you ll get a V8 tranny for 500$. So that way we could more help each other.

As i friend of mine onan Audi list you can even drive the car reverse hehe, it s a joke. I had a probl with a 5000Q tranny.

also if your friend ever needs to have a good rebuild let me know, i have a local shop that said they can rebuild the tranny for 1800 that with the labor parts removal and installation. does that seem like a food price. they puta 3 yr. warrenty on them. but he did say the if there were major problems like a cracked case it could be as much as 2200.

thanks,

The solenoide are not sell separate (manager told me) it comes with a module, each sol has is module... I did opened manual tranny and its quite long and expenssive job, but never an auto one, and ll never do that without special tools and knowledge.

I only need those parts:

4000Q manual tranny with shift link and shifter, and the following clutch;

Complete 200TQ 1989.5 1990+(i mean the flat type flywheel) clutch (flywheel, pressure plate and disk), used ;-).

OR20V turbo complete clutchOR only the 20V Turbo pressure plate ll be appreciate. Its from S4 before 1998 i guess. S4 1993 or so it s fine.

Where are you located in US ?

I m in est Canada (Quebec)
